Poethic Green includes in its products a number of ingredients, such as Sangiovese Wine, Cocomerina Pear, and Parma Olive oil, not only for the fantastic qualities for skin care, but also for encouraging biodynamic processes and to support biodiversity, understood as the activity of preserving agri-food varieties linked to a typical territory by their extinction caused by the massive use of industrial processes, which impose products more in demand from the market to the detriment of the biodiversity, and thus favor their re-cultivation.
Sangiovese Wine: very ancient wine, known already in Roman times (from where the name is derived: Sanguis Jovis, or blood of Jupiter) is distinguished by an intense color and a fine fruity aroma. We use Sangiovese obtained from Biodynamic Agriculture. The bunches of grapes are picked one by one by hand to be arranged in small boxes, in order to keep the crop intact and avoid damage. The first selection is made directly in the vineyard, where only the best fruits are examined and chosen. Every year nature writes a different story, making each harvest unique and special. At a cosmetic level, wine is a natural remedy for skin care that uses antioxidant properties, thanks to the presence of polyphenols, to counteract skin aging, while promoting microcirculation.
The Parma Olive Oil comes from some ancient olive trees that it is important to save and predict its multiplication as they are genetic sources of great interest for future crops, less energetic and more resistant to adversity. At a cosmetic level, the Parma Olive Oil has emollient, protective, anti-wrinkle, sebum-like qualities.
The cocomerina pears are small, very fragrant, oval fruits, unfortunately also very fragile and difficult to conserve. For this reason, this variety is at risk of extinction, as Cocomerina pears were usually harvested for family consumption and now very few trees are remaining. By using this natural ingredient – leveraging its antioxidant properties – Poethic Green hopes to promote its harvesting, so to save it from extinction.
